Getting around Berlin low cost: WelcomeCard

Ideal for visiting everything Berlin without spending a fortune on transportation is buying the Berlin Welcome Card. The WelcomeCard is divided into 2, 3, 4 and 5 days, according to your needs.

This card consists of a combined ticket between the public transport network and a guide with discount offers at over 200 travel partners and attractions. The Berlin Welcome Card does travel for free children up to 6 years. Adults pay a ticket based on the days they stay in Berlin, dog, pram and luggage do not pay for tickets while bicycles have to pay for a ticket.

Available for 48, 72 hours or for 5 days allows you to move for free on local public transport, i.e. S-Bahn (city rail), underground, bus, tram and regional transport trains (except special lines and lines for tourist excursions), within the fare zone Berlin AB (including Berlin Tegel Airport) or in the fare zone ABC, Berlin + Potsdam. Obviously these two solutions, also based on the number of hours and days you want to stay, have a different cost. The ticket becomes valid from the first endorsement, from that moment the count of available hours is also triggered.

Thanks to the Welcome Card, the Museum Island of Berlin is open once a day for all the days in which the Card has been purchased and is available only by purchasing the Berlin Welcome Card + Museum Pass. You will have the whole Museum Island to visit and over 200 attractions at 50%. The Museum Pass can only be taken by taking the 72-hour Welcome Card (AB or ABC makes no difference).

With the Welcom Card you will be entitled to discounts on shops, restaurants and guided tours of over 150 exhibitors, to see them all you can consult the official website of Visit Berlin. Some discounts can reach up to 50% of the offer.
