Floating nativity scene in Cesenatico for Christmas

Cesenatico offers a one-of-a-kind nativity scene, different from all the others and which every year attracts many onlookers and tourists. From early December to after the Epiphany the ancient boats that form the Maritime Museum I'm the stage for 50 statues about which they find themselves around the Holy Family, welcomed by three dolphins carved in wood.

The statues are of full-size wood and a grandiose lighting both on the boats and on the statues that throughout Cesenatico makes this show unique, a floating crib open sky!

The Marineria Nativity is open from the 2 December 2012 to the 6 January 2013 there is really a lot of time available to not miss this extraordinary show even if you have to plan a weekend otherwise time will fly away: D every weekend here there are always many curious people and photographers who do not want to miss this unique show in the world.

There are many initiatives around this event. The Italian Post Office prepares one special philatelic cancellation in the Museo della Marineria, Section on the ground, in Via Armellini and are organized exhibitions, conferences, thematic exhibitions of particular artistic value.

Another show is the Preserves nativity scene which is usually put on from the weekend before Christmas and dismantled shortly after Epiphany, with human-sized statues and placed in the Piazzetta delle Conserve.

Un personal advice is to go and see the Nativity scene during the hours of sunset, you will see the time change, the lights turn on and slowly everything gets dark, only in this way you will be able to see the beauty of this nativity scene illuminated on the water. A show indeed!
