European Heritage Day in France in September

Le European Heritage Days are held annually in France around the third weekend of September. They were established in 1984 by the Ministry of Culture and Communication and since then every year they host many onlookers and visitors who in France want to discover places and landscapes hidden from most other parts of the year.

Not only places of art as it would be easy to think, but also archaeological or agricultural, industrial sites and noteworthy fluvial and military areas that in the other months of the year are closed or little developed. Obviously not only visits, but also shows and concerts, cultural events dedicated and activities that would not have followed during the year, but which in these two days offer a guaranteed show.

This year the Journees du patrimoine in France takes place from the 15 to the 16 September 2012 and the program is not possible to write it since the party extends to the whole State of France. Go to the site and look for the city and region that interests you most and you will certainly find many possibilities and activities. To give you an example, this is it Paris! So, what do you think, did I make you want to leave? : D
