Eating in Bolzano in the historic center is not always easy, especially during the holidays or Christmas. However, we found the Anita Restaurant to be good and cheap.
A Bolzano if you love yourself, look for a quaint place to eat traditional food. During a summer holiday or during the Christmas markets it is indifferent, always try to find some typical places and we will offer you a truly characteristic one. I was there a few months ago, during my trip to Bolzano and I must say that I would not recommend it here and with this post if I were not sure that you too can find yourself well, indeed very well.
If you don't go on a Sunday, closing day, a restaurant to absolutely recommend is the one from Anita, located downtown, just down the street Piazza delle Erbe, civic n. 5.
Given the closing day, it is clear that it is not the classic place for tourists: the regular clientele, in fact, is mainly represented by locals, who stop for lunch or dinner in a welcoming environment with a warm atmosphere.
I feel like putting my hand on fire for the Primi, having personally tested spinach dumplings e spinach canederli, although alas I have not become a tug of war. The dishes are very abundant, and with a first course you are satisfied enough; if you want, there is a space for some sweets from the stalls outside, which doesn't hurt.
At the end of the meal you will feel great, a little full, but very well and you will not be able to help but recommend it to relatives and friends. The Anita Restaurant was a real surprise and we will not fail to come back during our stays in the city of Bolzano. If you were to go to Bolzano too, I strongly advise you not to miss this stage.
