Two hundred degrees is a famous Roman sandwich shop, where tradition and inventiveness are combined. It is located in the heart of Rome, Piazza Risorgimento, a stone's throw from the Vatican and has for some time become a meeting point.
You may think it is as they say in Rome "er usually paninaro", but as a Roman I guarantee you that it is not. The ingredients used to make their products are very fresh and top quality, while their bread… is fabulous. It is produced with a particular processing and cooking takes place at 200 °, hence the name of the place. The prices are not very high 4,50 € to go up, obviously based on the sandwich you choose.
There are over 60 types of sandwiches, which take their name from the characteristic places of the capital such as the Colosseum, Trevi or Testaccio sandwich. Despite this great choice, you can always decide to customize your sandwich. Two hundred degrees in addition to savory sandwiches, it also produces a wide choice of salads, desserts and sweet sandwiches.
The place is not very large and at peak times it is difficult to find a seat, but it remains open until late at night. In my opinion it is the perfect place to stop for a break before continuing to visit Rome. Opening hours: Mon - Sun. 9.00am - 1.30pm.
