Dog Bark Park Inn, where it is located

The Dog Bark Park Inn is located exactly in Cottonwood. This town seems to have the name of a cartoon and has very few souls, immersed in a landscape painted in gold, from expanses of corn grown here.
The owners themselves make this place special: Francis e Dennis who not only manage the structure, but actually built it.

A Beagle-shaped B&B: from dream to reality

The story of how this place was created seems like that of the typical American dream. It all began in 1995 when the two owners moved to this out-of-this-world town. Dennis's passion for woodworking turned into a real job. Dennis immediately started carving small figurines in the shape of a dog and seeing how much they liked, he decided to try to sell them through the QVC teleshopping channel.

As in the Joy movie, as soon as sales started the demand was incredible: 1800 pieces sold out in less than two minutes. The success lasted for a full year and a half until Dennis decided to quit telesales and return to work in his laboratory. But above all, thanks to the earnings obtained, he was able to realize one of his dreams: to build a unique hotel in the world, creating the first and only Beagle-shaped B&B.

Dog Bark Park Inn: how it's made

The structure consists of a single room dominated by a huge bed located in the central body. The bathroom is also very comfortable. In the muzzle of the dog there is instead a mini room which is accessed by a very steep staircase and where you can admire the giant stars of Idaho.

In the room everything is themed: from the head of the bed with many dog-shaped magnets, to books, to coffee cups. Even the homemade butter biscuits that are on the bed as a good night wish are in the shape of a dog!

Breakfast can be found directly in the room. There is a small kitchenette complete with coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator where Frances prepares everything. You will therefore find fresh fruit juice, milk, granola, boiled eggs, jam, fruit, yogurt and two homemade desserts! A real royal breakfast to be consumed directly in the room, on the table in front of the window, or on the outside balcony.

Alongside the beagles, there are also other small wooden works always made by Dennis as a giant toaster, a coffeepot or a mini house. Obviously there is also Dennis's workshop with an adjoining small shop where you can buy his works directly: small dogs (which are the most difficult to make) or real ones statues (dogs, cats, etc.) medium to large, the super affordable cost starts at $ 19 and up for something unique and it's impossible not to buy one as a souvenir.
