Christmas open house at the London Glassblowing Studio: glass art in London

One of the traditions I love most of Christmas is perhaps the preparation of the tree. Choose the best, decide on the color of the decorations, fill it with balls, ribbons, angel hair, candy canes and a nice tip.

This year, however, if you want to take inspiration from something a little different, or if you are simply chronic curious like me, I recommend you go for a ride to London Glassblowing Studio, opened by Peter Layton in 1976 and still enjoying considerable success today. The glass craftsmen they also exist in London and they create very special objects, vases and obviously they cannot be missing at Christmas tree decorations, which make the studio a perfect destination for Christmas shopping or simply to discover how all these glass wonders are created.

The studio is located in Bermondsey, in South London, e 23 24 from November to December is organized as every year the Christmas Open House, a free event during which not only will it be possible to observe the creation and purchase Christmas decorations, but visitors will be pampered with mulled wine and homemade mince pie. A real must if you are looking for an alternative afternoon!
