Christmas markets in New York

The New York Christmas Markets all the events of the big apple under the holidays and where to find the most beautiful markets. The beauty of the Christmas lights at Grand Central Station and Union Square, but not only.

Like any city in the world too New York has several Christmas markets, many of which I still do not know or have not seen. Each of these offers the most diverse products from the fish market, to the market where only those who have their own farms and products can sell, vintage markets, antiques and much more. Obviously during the Christmas period these increase and are more specific for gifts, furry hats, Christmas balls and obviously food to be tasted during the journey outdoors.

Union Square

Union Square certainly has one of the nicest Christmas Markets there is, with food specialties from all over Mexico, Japan, India, China, France and of course Italy. If the period is very cold I definitely recommend a soup, perhaps Chinese noodles, a Mexican Chili or a rice with curry and Indian chicken, in short, something that warms you up, if you are greedy I recommend Dough donuts and if you are in withdrawal from Nutella because you are I've been in New York for weeks and you noticed that supermarkets cost so much I wouldn't miss one crêpes with nutella and banana I were you.

Obviously there are not only gastronomic products but also clothing, costume jewelery, objects. Very special are the wallets made of paper with for example the metro map drawn above, certainly they will not be very resistant to water but they are certainly very particular. Obviously there is no lack of those who make wool scarves, glasses made from tree bark, iPhone or iPad cases with the most disparate patterns on them.

Generally the Christmas Markets in New York they open at the end of November and they close just before Christmas, usually on Christmas Eve.

Grand Central

Another very suggestive Christmas market is located inside Grand Central Station, subway located on 42th street and lezington Avenue. This market is smaller and inside, there are no culinary products but only clothing and objects made by more or less emerging designers. Don't forget, however, that you are inside the most beautiful station ever, where the ceiling has been painted inside the central hall more than 100 years ago with the sky the constellation and all the zodiac signs. Moreover, the stars are real openings in the ceiling so the light they shine out of is the natural light outside. Millions of people pass by and millions every day are fascinated by this beauty.
In addition, an apple center has always been opened there all around the central hall, so that if you want a break, one Wifi connection and maybe make a call home and show where you are, surely this is the place.
