Burger Bar, where to eat low cost in Amsterdam

Burger Bar, where to eat low cost in Amsterdam

Amsterdam, a particularly popular destination for young people, it remains a not particularly low cost destination. In my last trip to the Dutch capital, I accidentally discovered a chain with three locations in strategic points of the main districts of the cities and despite being a fast food restaurant, the quality is particularly high and the cost, although higher than the various Burger King and McDonal 'd, however, remains quite contained.

I'm talking about the Burger Bar whose offices in Kolksteeg 2 (a side street of the famous Damrak in the 9 streets area), Reguliersbreestraat 9 (near the Rembrandtplein) and in Warmoesstraat 21 (in the red light district) are frequented by many customers for both lunch and dinner, also for very long opening hours. In fact, the premises are open from 11.00 to 3.00 at night from Sunday to Thursday and the hours are extended until 4.00 on Friday and Saturday.

The peculiarity of this chain is to allow its customers to create a tailor-made hamburger: basically you can mix the ingredients displayed according to your tastes, also choosing the type of meat. In fact, you can choose between Irish beef, black angus, wagyu beef (of Japanese origin) and chicken sandwich. You can also opt for a different weight of the hamburger between 200 and 270 gr with a price ranging between 5 and 7 euros depending on the weight and quality of the meat. This can be accompanied by various toppings such as grilled bacon, cheddar, blue cheese, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, avocado, fried eggs and jalapenos. But be careful! In fact, each condiment has its own cost of about one euro each.

As a side dish, the French fries which in Holland are particularly tasty and crunchy and which in the Burger Bar are no less, accompanied by a long variety of very tempting sauces. The fries also have a separate cost of 2,50 euros.

The service is particularly fast: in fact, you just have to go to the cashier, perhaps with clear ideas on what to get (I know, it will be very difficult) and order. At this point you will be issued a number that will appear on the blackboard bright when your order is ready. In the meantime, you can take a seat and enjoy the tourists strolling around Amsterdam. In short, with about ten euros you can enjoy an excellent hamburger, which I assure you will not be easy to finish, and you will certainly want to return as soon as possible.
