Baska, island of Krk: all the most beautiful beaches

Baska is a town on the island of Krk, located by the sea and surrounded by mountains and incredible views: here are all the suggestions on what to do in Croatia.

Who doesn't know the Croatian islands? By now consolidated destinations of the summer, they are often associated with young, festive and wild tourism. But they are not all the same. There are in fact islands suitable for families, for relaxing holidays and stays immersed in nature. One of these is theisland of Krk, to be precise his town of Another.

Very easy to reach as it is connected to the mainland by a bridge, it is an island that surprises because, at least as far as I'm concerned, I absolutely did not expect it.

A few years ago, when I was there, it was a beautiful place, still very natural. Another is the town on the southern tip of the island, surrounded by mountains and for this reason it conveys the feeling of being a bit isolated from the rest of the world, surrounded by tranquility and nature.

The main beach of the town is very wide, made of pebbles and not sand, in fact much loved by families, especially mothers. The clear and fresh water is pleasant and the horizon is broken by the mountains that form the island and surround the small cove where Baska is located.

The location is also known for being a destination for nudist tourism, it will not be unusual to find yourself as umbrella neighbors of the followers of the integral tan, especially if you decide not to stay on the main beach, but to move to explore other coves and inlets.

In fact, if like me you love to explore and visit as much of a location as possible, I strongly suggest you go to the port and book an inflatable boat that will transport you to Luka candle, a beach as beautiful as it is surreal. Reachable only by boat or with a fairly demanding trek, the cove will be waiting for you to surprise you with its lunar landscape. The splendid beach, bathed by crystal clear waters, is in fact surrounded by a particular natural landscape, rocky and bright interspersed with some nice goats looking for grassy stems. On the beach there is only one small bar where you can buy drinks and some dishes, so I recommend that you leave equipped with both an umbrella, water and some snacks.

Do not forget to take a tour of the town of Baska, a gem that will give you beautiful views and breathtaking sunsets, get lost in its narrow streets that rise slightly and do not give up the view from the top they will give you.

Its numerous clubs and shops will certainly never leave you bored. The excellent fish cuisine, of course, only adds points to a place that is already pretty in itself. For dinner I recommend Konoba Pirun e Garofulin Konoba, both in the marina area, offer both Croatian and European cuisine, but obviously you shouldn't miss the fresh fish to be enjoyed strictly with sea view. Remember to taste the palacinke, a typical Croatian dessert reminiscent of our crepes.

Baska is a small town, so if you stay longer than two or three days, I recommend that you alternate sunbathing and relaxing on the beach with exploring the surroundings, especially the town that gives the island its name, Krk. The town, with its castle and fortifications, seems to have come straight out of the Middle Ages and will surely give you a day of discovery.

The more daring, on the other hand, will be able to take advantage of the local diving center to explore the local seabed and get to know its inhabitants. As for accommodation, the choice is wide and varied, from various campsites to numerous hotels or apartments, there is something for all tastes and budgets, certainly you can find the accommodation that best suits your needs, whether be a couple looking for romance or a family looking for relaxation.
