Da December to January, for 50 days the city of Amsterdam will be illuminated thanks to theAmsterdam Ligth Festival. We all know that Amsterdam is a city of design and avant-garde and here it is once again proving it with this beautiful event. But how does it work, what are the points in which to attend the illuminations in the city of Amsterdam?
Obviously the spots of the Amsterdam Light Festival change every year, but the main ones, those where the city's most popular squares or hangouts are located, remain as a place to expect the most beautiful illuminations. The beauty of this event, which also takes place in a season when darkness comes early and you can enjoy these illuminations even more, is that all the channels are also illuminated. A sort of Christmas decoration even before and after Christmas :)
One of the things that cannot be missed is to get on an illuminated boat passing in front of the suggestive illuminations. Also if you go around Christmas, don't forget to follow the Christmas parade dozens of preciously lit boats navigate the canals, creating enchanting scenes.
In 2013 the Amsterdam Light Festival will start on 12 December to end on 20 January 2014.
