A year of Australia in low cost, it begins

After graduating in Tourism Sciences and just over two years in a multinational dealing with web content and social media marketing, I take an important decision very lightly: go to Australia for one year.

What comes to your mind when you say this name?
In my head, Australia evokes an empty and distant expanse, so far away. When I started collecting information for my trip, I realized that we know almost nothing about this young country, stable, peaceful and good. I chose it as my destination precisely because I feel it like this remote: get off the plane and realize that the only security I carry with me is backpack on my shoulders.

It seems that almost everyone, sooner or later, begins to feel a call to Australia. Someone comes back, others stay there, but they all confirm that the quality of life is very high, that you can get the Work and Holiday Visa in a few hours, that with some precautions you can travel far and wide without spending a fortune and that you can always find some job to finance your holiday.
Fact or fiction? Truth or lie? The only way to find out is to leave and check for yourself.

You may never have thought about it, but Australia has a lot of firsts: it's there sixth largest nation in the world and the largest island, has a very low population, is the only island that is a continent and the only continent that is also a nation. The only nation to be born as a prison.
It is home to the largest living thing on earth, the Great Barrier Reef, and the most amazing monolith, Ayers Rock. A place where more deadly creatures are found than anywhere else in the world.

One thing I have learned while traveling is that every place is different and requires different adaptability. A priori I don't know what I expect from this trip. Sitting at my desk, surrounded by the comforts that have always accompanied me, I can say that I have only two goals: to survive and see as much Australia as possible, spending the minimum. Couchsurfing, wwoofing, hostels, friends' houses, floors, sleeping bags ...
The certainties are: departure scheduled for 18 April, arriving in Brisbane around 20.

    How will it end?
