5 things to know before going to Egypt

1. What documents are needed to go to Egypt?

Thanks to our latest experience in Egypt born from the collaboration with the Tourist Board, we discovered that to visit this beautiful country you just need the Identity Card as long as it is valid for expatriation. Cards that have been renewed with a stamp are not accepted. Also bring with you some passport photos already cropped useful for the visa.
The visa can be done directly at the airport, but we advise you to check that the current regulations have not changed.

2. Are vaccinations necessary before visiting Egypt?

We confirm that no vaccinations are required to visit Egypt. However, we advise you to bring with you, like any self-respecting trip, a small kit of medicines useful for any eventuality with particular attention to supplements to rebalance the intestinal flora. The water system in African countries is different from that of Europeans, so ingesting water, although not directly, can lead to intestinal disorders.

3. Which companies leave Italy for Egypt?

The only company that will allow you to arrive in Egypt is Egyptair. It is possible to depart from many European cities with a direct flight to Cairo. All other destinations can be reached with one or more stopovers.

In Egypt the faithful of the three monotheistic religions live together: Jews, Muslims and Christians. In this regard, there is a great tolerance towards those who do not wear the veil. However, it is a good rule to show a minimum of sensitivity when visiting this country, avoiding skimpy and vulgar clothing.

5. Is Egypt a "safe country"?

Given the historical period we are living in, many are wondering if there are "safe" and other "unsafe" countries. Currently the Egyptian government is mobilizing to avoid any kind of attack and diplomatic incident. In every city there are checkpoints and checkpoints to monitor the situation. At the airport, you are subjected to at least five checks before boarding. Our advice is to continue traveling beyond any war and any conflict.
